playin the guitar.

I learnt how to play the guitar...

It's a really interesting instrument which I hope to master someday and play like Hao Ern.

I wish I could own a guitar cuz I can bring it whenever I go...

I had always wanted to learn how to play the guitar since I was form 3...when I see my friend bring his guitar to school and playing all the chinese songs...
It was like so amazing..

Lately, I had the chance to learn how to play.

When Lizzie was over at my place for a little while, I took Tze Way's guitar and asked Lizzie to teach me. She showed me the 4 main chords and with this 4 chords, I could play most of the songs.

After memorising this 4 chords on the spot, I was greedy for more...

I want to learn all the techniques.

Today, I asked Marcus to teach me some more chords and skills...
He is a good guitarist teacher...haha..
I learnt the 'sustaining method' and using the last finger for the D chord so that it sounds as if there is a variation...

All together I have learnt and memorised: G, D, C, E minor, E/B were the chords I learnt 2 days ago.
E major, E7, A major, A7 are the few new chords I have learnt n memorised today...hehe..

B major is a hard chord...will master that another time...

memorise 4 chords at a time now....dun be too greedy....haha

I hope to master the guitar better...my strumming has improved over the past 2 days...During the first day, I had problems strumming.
But today, strumming went very smoothly.

I enjoyed playing the guitar though I started learning 2 days ago. I seemed to be progressing quite well...and I can play the song 'in christ'...
hehe...

I hope to play more songs!! I wanna learn all the chords which has strokes in them.

working in Yo! Sushi..

Talking about laziness...it has struck me down...haha...even blogging is so hard now...LOLSSS...

Feeling very tired now...Had to wake up at 8.30am this morning to go for a trial at Yo! sushi which is at the top floor of Harvey nichols.

I had literally been walking the whole day...walk to harvey nichols...made maki(sushi) for 3 hours...Thank God for Val who taught me how to make maki a few weeks ago...if it wasn't becuz of her, I may have been quite stuck today.
I made 6 kinds of maki...avogadro maki, salmon maki, tuna maki, asparagus maki, yellow melon(???) maki and cucumber maki. Not only that we have to memorise the colour of the plates and I got mixed up once...LOlsss...
Also learnt how to cook rice....

When I arrived, I was kinda praying that I will someone I know before I enter the building...cuz it was early and we have to enter thru the back of the building using a password which Val has told me earlier...

WOW...who knows I met Tom...he is one of the chefs of Yo! Sushi....Val introduced me to him two days ago when we went to Yo! Sushi..

Met the head chef and gosh..I think she is either a scottish or an Irish..cuz her accent is really hard to understand....

One incident was that I made the maki and after placing them in small plates, she told me to go around and put the maki on the conveyor belt...

I couldn't understand what she was saying. So I just stood in front of the converyor belt and put when I see empty spaces..

Then she bellowed :" DON'T JUST STAND THERE....MOVE AROUND AND PUT THE MAKI ON THE CONVEYOR BELT.."

I was like...''OOOO...so that's what u meant....haiyah...''

So had to quickly rush about doin stuff..

Earlier on before starting, she told me that I am on trial and am not allowed to eat anything...

Somehow, after the 3 hours trial, she told me to take a break...
and she said I could eat 5 dishes except cake!!! WOW!!! and she added saying that she will speak to me after I eat finish..

That is an indication that I had passed my trial and that I could work at Yo! Sushi!

So, I ate 2 dishes off the conveyor belt! Sashimi...tuna and salmon sashimi...so yummy man...
and also tempura pumpkin + fried rice...
then a little fruit dessert...

After eating, she told me that she was very happy with the maki I made and she said that she will check her rota and give me the shifts that she wants me to work...*GRINS* she said she will call me in 2 days....haha

I am finally working in Yo! Sushi....after such such such long of waiting....

Get to eat yummy food too!!!

hehe...

Ingleton waterfals

My brother had croup..well, that's what the doctor in Miri diagnosed. I asked Paul today and he said could be croup too even though Joshua is a bit no more a kid to get croup...I checked my medical books...I cannot remember if fever is one of the symptoms...but Joshua symptoms sounded like croup...hmm...I will ask the paediatrician in church if I do see him...

Yea..Paul said that croup is scary....

I thank God that Joshua is big enuf to actually inform my parents that he has trouble breathing..cuz I think most kids would just dun care n assume that it will go away?? Lolss...yea...thank God that everything was ok after that...
I should read up more on croup...to think I have studied the respiratory system and not knowing croup...LOLSSS...I heard of it before though, but not actually knowing the symptoms and all...

Went to Ingleton Waterfalls today..

Ingleton Waterfalls is 1.5 hours drive from Leeds and the waterfalls walk was 4.5miles....wahman..it was a very tiring hiking but worth the view...lolsss...

Went with Paul n TW....Paul drove..so nice of him.

Haih...I tried to upload all the photos that I took at Ingleton Waterfalls..but dunno why blogger just simply refused to upload...these are all I managed before giving up...lolss..

sushi!!!! yum yum..

Tze way brought sushi home for the past 2 days.

The best part is the peas.. I remembered the first time Valerie brought home peas, I ate the peas, including the skin!!!! I didn't know how to eat them...until people taught me how...Actually we are not supposed to eat the skin *blushed*...
I guessed common sense would have told u that the skin cannot be eaten becuz it's so tough + HAIRY...eee...

Ever since I learnt how to eat them, wow...they are so yummy!!! WL said it is a delicacy and it's very expensive...so hehe...I am so lucky to be able to eat them for the past two days....cuz TW brought home 2 'bottle' of peas...u can see the bottle below....

Got to eat loads of raw salmon and raw tuna...yum yum...so nice...

And I was pestering him for not bringing back more...cuz his boss asked him to take all (8 altogether) but he didn't...and he only took 2 packs yesterday...*sobs*... well, after he saw us (ken n me) eating with such 'passion', he said that next time he will bring back MORE!!!!

Hopefully, TW will bring back some sushi today..haha

My favourite peas... as u can see..only the skins are left...haha..I have eaten all the peas...

Sushi....yum yum

More peas...with the bottle beside it...

hot water bottle

Haven't been updating lately...

hehe..

Was pretty tired for the past few days...aihh...so ended up sleeping for 4 hours this afternoon. Even then, I am still feeling pretty sleepy now....aih...

Lately, the weather has gotten colder....lolss...it was super SUPER hot last week...but this week, it's like winter again....
I realised the advantages of having a hot water bottle..haha...had been great using it if only I can avoid the 'burnt plastic smell'....I guessed I am not supposed to put really boiling hot water into the plastic bottle...hmm...so have learnt to use water which is near boiling point instead...haha..

Again..one week has passed....so fast!!!...

Ai Shin is going to Singapore tommorow for the next one month. She will be doing her electives there...and heard that it's pretty good...hopefully, I can do my electives there in the future. Would be able to learn a lot of things from the singapore heart hospital (? I think there is one such hosp in singapore..haha) and the general hospital in singapore...

WL's advice to Ai Shin was...''when u meet the singapore medical students, think that there is nothing wrong with u...and that u are normal..but try to give Leeds a good name as in make sure that u can answer the questions that they asked..''

Wahman...sounds stressful hor...WL said that the singapore medical students are so studious...lols...nerds?? They know so much....but the bad thing is that most of them do not dare to voice out their opinions (something like that)...
But he said that when Ai Shin comes back, she will be different...as in she will learn a lot from the attachment there....
She said that she will be going to Taiwan for holiday as well because another friend of hers will be doing her attachment in Taiwan. WL said that Taiwan's heart speciality is well-known and is the best in the world....wow....

Anyway, going to sleep...can hardly open my eyes liao...

duvets...

As u know, TW is workin as a chef in Si Sushi. He goes to work at 10am, whereas I go home at 9.45am...so it's without fail that I will meet him on the stretch of road on my way home...haha...and it's always the same place....haha...somewhere near the bridge above the highway.

Yesterday, I did not had the chance to talk to him..so this morning, he was telling me that he will try to ask for me today whether Si Sushi needs anymore waitress. He said that yesterday there was only one waitress on shift and he was wondering what happened to all the other waitresses...

Hopefully, he will come home with good news tonight...

I have a yogurt addiction....eating yogurt for breakfast every morning...and I cannot stop eating yogurt! Lols....but seems like my weight has gone down slightly...for the past 3 days I had been eating chicken porridge and yogurt...

Once, I was talking to TW, I was so bored that I ate 5 clementines...hahaha....
I think that's the only fruit I have eaten for the month....*wide-eyed stare*...haha

It has been raining a lot for the past few days..and the temperature's dropping...
At least it's not so hot at night that I have to kick my duvet off the bed every night...I did not kick off intentionally...I remembered sleeping with my duvet on...when I woke up, everything is on the floor....duvet and sometimes my pillows...
God knows how I 'wrestled' on the bed..maybe I should put a camcoder on the table overnight and see how I sleep....how did the duvet actually flew off the bed..

anyways,
